Autumn in Pine Grove Furnace is more than a season—it’s a transition. As the trees release

what they no longer need, we are reminded that our bodies and spirits also have rhythms, cycles, and ways of letting go.

On November 9th at 9am, we will gather at Fuller Lake for a somatic hike and Gestalt-inspired nature process circle. This is notĀ a therapy session, but it is grounded in principles that honor awareness, embodied experience, and the power of connection—with ourselves, one another, and the natural world.

Return hikers and first-time participants are equally welcome.

Why Somatic Hiking?

Our bodies speak, even when our minds are busy.

Somatic hiking invites us into awareness through breath, movement, and rhythm. It’s an accessible way to:

āœ… Release stored stress through gentle, mindful movementāœ… Reconnect with your body in a grounded and compassionate wayāœ… Experience nature as a resource for regulation + presenceāœ… Build resilience through sensory connection—sight, sound, texture, temperatureāœ… Deepen awareness of what your body might be holding or asking for

Unlike fitness hiking, somatic hikes focus on nervous system regulation, grounding, curiosity, and sensation, not performance or speed.

This hike will include periodic invitations to:

  • Notice breath + body cues

  • Connect feet to earth

  • Observe shifts in sensation

  • Pause and slow down

  • Let the forest support you

And—just as importantly—we will enjoy moments of laughter, conversation, and community as we move.

Gestalt Process in Nature

Gestalt work emphasizes being fully present and curious about our lived experience:

✨ What am I feeling right now—physically, emotionally, energetically?

✨ What am I aware of in my surroundings?

✨ What do I need in this moment?

During this hike, we will integrate brief awareness practices and a reflective circleĀ rooted in Gestalt exploration and community witnessing—not therapy, but an opportunity to honor yourself in connection with others.

Participants have shared feeling:

  • More grounded

  • Lighter and clearer

  • Emotionally nourished

  • Reconnected to self

  • Inspired by beauty and belonging

Warm Food, Warm Community

Following the hike, we’ll share a cozy soup + light seasonal brunch, perfectly paired with the crisp fall air and woodsy atmosphere.

We hike. We breathe. We connect. We eat. We nourish—inside and out.

Who Is This For?

This gathering welcomes those who:

  • Seek grounding and calm

  • Love nature or want to reconnect with it

  • Are curious about body-based awareness practices

  • Value personal growth, wisdom, and meaning

  • Crave community without performance or pressure

Bring a friend. Come solo. Bring your curiosity, your senses, and a willingness to receive from the forest.
