Autumn Somatic Hike & Gestalt Process Circle + Brunch

Pine Grove Furnace State Park — Sunday, October 12 at 9:00 AM

As the leaves turn and the air steadies into crisp, bright mornings, we’re gathering for a gentle, guided hike and a warm, nourishing brunch with a Gestalt process circle. This isn’t just a walk in the woods—it’s an intentional pause to settle your nervous system, listen inward, and connect with others who value meaning, movement, and mindful conversation.

Why this is special

  • Somatic reset. Slow, sensory-rich hiking helps downshift the body from stress to steadiness. You’ll learn simple breath, grounding, and orienting practices you can use long after the hike ends.

  • Gestalt process circle. After our hike, we’ll share brunch and a facilitated circle that invites you to notice what’s alive in the present moment—what you feel, what you need, and what you’re ready to let go. It’s a compassionate space to integrate, not analyze.

  • Community you can feel. Shared movement and shared meal create real connection. You’ll leave with language, practices, and people you can reach for as the season changes.

  • Forest as co-facilitator. The terrain, colors, and sounds of Pine Grove Furnace State Park support regulation and reflection—nature does some of the holding so you don’t have to do it all yourself.

What we’ll do

  1. Arrive & orient (9:00 AM): Welcome, intention-setting, and a brief somatic warm-up.

  2. Guided hike (~60–75 min): Easy-to-moderate pace with pauses for breathwork, sensory noticing, and optional journaling prompts.

  3. Brunch + Gestalt circle: Nourishing food, structured sharing, and practical take-home tools for everyday regulation and relationship.

  4. Close & integrate: Gentle stretching, resourcing, and a simple commitment you can carry into the week.
